National Memorial Chorten - Watch the eldery circumbulate around the memorial stupa which was consecrated on July 28 1074, in memory of our Third King. Take in the intricate paintings and sculptures as you explore the surroundings.

Buddha Point - The massive 51.5m tall bronze statue of Buddha Dordenma sits atop the hill overlooking Thimphu city. It is one of the largest sitting Buddha in the world. The Buddha Dordenma symbolises indestructibility, and is said to emnate peace and happiness to the world.

Post Office - Take a quick stop to the post office to immortalise your picture into an actual stamp. Keep it as a memory of your trip or post yourself a snail mail to have something to reminisce about when it reaches you.

  • After a relaxing rest in the hotel, we will start the day bright and early with a scenic drive to Punakha (approx 2-3 hours)

Dochula Pass - At an elevation of 3,100m, this stunning pass located on the way to Punakha from Thimphu is unmissable! Enjoy a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range as you breathe in the fresh crisp air in the morning.

Chhimi Lhakhang - Widely known as the fertility temple, this monastery was constructed in 1499 and is dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley, the "Divine Madman". Famous for his risqué behaviour, you will see essence of his influence as you hike up to the temple. Murals of phalluses adorn the walls and doors of the homes of locals. The route to Chimi Lhakhang is a beautiful one as it meanders through terraces of paddy fields.

Punakha Dzong - The majestic Dzong sits picturesquely between Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Built in 1637, the Dzong is one of the second largest & second oldest in Bhutan. It was damaged by four fires and an earthquake and was fully restored in recent years by the 4th King. It is now a winter home of Je Khenpo, head abbot of Bhutan, alongside the entourage of 1000 monks. We will also take a stroll down the longest suspension bridge nearby the Dzong.

We will drive back to Paro in the evening to end our night.

  • Start your day early with a hike to the famed Tiger’s Nest in the early morning to catch our crisp fresh air.

Tiger’s Nest - Perched precariously on the side of the mountain, Tiger's Nest is one of the must-visit spots in Bhutan.

According to folklore, the Guru Rinpoche flew to this location from Tibet on the back of a tigress and meditated in one of the caves before emerging in eight manifestations. The hike up to Tiger's Nest is spiritual, peaceful and filled with a sense of achievement.

Paro Market - Visit Paro town for some shopping or stroll around to see how local Bhutanese live their lives.

Hot Stone Bath - Experience the ancient tradition of Bhutan by indulging in our traditional Hot Stone Bath (at your own expense). It's the best way to wind down and relax those muscles after an ardous hike up to Tiger's Nest.

  • Bid a fond farewell to our beautiful Himalayan country. Our caring guide will be there to receive you at the hotel and send you safely to the airport.

We hope that Bhutan will touch your heart and leave you with beautiful memories to reminisce about. We look forward to seeing you again. Tashi Delek!
